Embracing Cannabis

Embracing Cannabis, was born out of a desire to continue the research and education begun after the publication of Healing Cannabis Edibles. With the legalization of Cannabis in Canada coinciding with the publication of the book, it became clear that while many questions had been answered, an equal number had emerged. The rapid evolution of the Cannabis industry, coupled with the influx of new research and data, meant that the conversation was far from over. Even with more than 100 documented sources cited in the book, I felt compelled to keep learning—and to share that knowledge with others.

 

Unlike Gardening from a Hammock, where we were unable to archive our earlier blogs, we were able to preserve the posts from Embracing Cannabis before the site closed. These blogs offer a unique snapshot of the cannabis industry at a pivotal moment in time. They trace the rise and fall of the Cannabis trend, offering insights into its growth, its growing pains, and the unforeseen challenges on the horizon, including foreshadowing Covid. They capture the most up-to-date information available at the time.

 

This writing chapter was written as Canada was experiencing its own "wild west" moment of Cannabis—a time of exhilaration, rapid change, and fascinating developments. It was a moment unlike any other, where the pace of innovation and discovery was both thrilling and, at times,

unpredictable. It was exciting to be part of it.
